KARKORUM HIGHWAYS AND PEAKS AT GILGIT BALTISTAN:

Since 1954, inception of Karakoram Range for  climbing and trekking purpose, the glaciers and mountains of Gilgit-Baltistan have become an international playground. A large numbers of tourists around the world are visiting every year to fulfill their climbing thirst. Though there are hundreds of peaks yet to climb. Which a daunting challenge for the mountaineers and climbers lovers around the world. Gilgit – Baltistan  is no doubt is a  trekker's paradise offering unique and unparalleled opportunities of mountain sports,  especially Baltistan, Shiger, Hunza are excellent spot for mountaineering, trekking and hiking.  Here Trekkers or climbers can have an opportunity to closely view the ocean of peaks through their 6000 meter crossing high passes.
Baltoro trek  is one of the most popular trek ends upto Concordia, the meeting point the the glaciers coming from all the peaks like K-2, Broad Peak and Gusherbrum-IV and can be rated absolutely a wonderful trek of the world.
The other popular treks are Other famour  treks are Biafo- Hisper, Rakaposhi trek, Nanga Parbat are equally provide adventures to the trekkers. There is no ending yet; some more and countless trekking spots are yet to be explored.

Most of trekking routes lie in the Northern Mountains of the Hindukush, the Karakorams and the Himalayas are hub of trekking routes in Gilgit-Baltistan  Best season for trekking is between May-October. Tourism Ministry of Government of Pakistan designated some three zones for trekking as open, restricted and closed. Foreigners may take necessary guilines or permission before embark upon any trekking expedition or contact some known local tourist companies in Pakistan.
